Só existe o que vemos?

DOES ONLY WHAT WE SEE EXIST?
27/11/2025

No, because matter is microscopic, but it is there. We can find matter in gaseous, liquid and solid states. If it can be produced, the solid bicarbonate and the liquid vinegar were transformed into gas. Density is the ratio between mass and volume. It is important because, as it has a higher density than air, the gas sinks.

LAB2 - THE MYSTERY OF THE COMPASS THAT DOESN'T POINT NORTH
30/01/2026

We have observed a compass pointing to the North. Question 1. Can we change its direction? 2.Can we make the same without using a magnet? Hypothesis No, because a compass always points to the North because the Earth has magnetism. Experiment Procedure 1. Wire 1: Place one extreme of a wire to the battery. 2. Connect the other extreme to the other part of the battery. 3. Place the wire on the compass. 4. Observe Results The compass doesn’t point to North. Conclusion We have created a magnetic field. So the magnet of the compass doesn’t know where to point because there are two magnetic fields next to it. The compass becomes “crazy”.

LAB 3 THE MYSTERY OF THE BURSING BALLOONS
13/03/2026

We did Lab 3: The Mystery of the Bursting Balloons. It was successful on the first day because the weather was sunny. These are our conclusions: The balloons pop because the rubber gets hot from the light energy. When the rubber gets hot, it stretches and the balloon breaks. Each balloon takes in the light that it does not reflect. The white balloon reflects all the light, the black balloon takes in all the light, and the colored balloons take in all the light except their own color.

What We Liked Most: The experiments: Trying out the practical activities was by far our favorite part. We were totally amazed when we mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to make an invisible gas that put out the candles! Doing it again: It was so fascinating that we would absolutely love to do it all over again next year! Our Discoveries: Power of light: We found out that light energy is strong enough to pop balloons! Sun rays: We also learned that sunlight contains UV rays, which can affect our bodies.
